The first module is an orientation module with an introduction to the class and an honor code attached to it. The orientation module is 2 weeks. During this period, students are to obtain Pearson MyLab access. Each module thereafter will have assignments and a timed quiz for each chapter covered. Each module is undertaken weekly. First Day Access: To enhance your learning experience and provide affordable access to the right course material, this course is part of an inclusive access model called First Day. You can easily access the required materials for this course at a discounted price through the course materials tab on the Canvas Course site. For more information and FAQs go to customercare.bncollege.com. Pearson My Lab: All students are REQUIRED to obtain Pearson MyLab access during the 2-week orientation period. Assignments and quizzes will be completed on Pearson MyLab. MyLab can be assessed through the Canvas course page or directly through Pearson MyLab website. Please refrain from obtaining the temporary access as past students have done this and were unable to complete assignments once it expired. Medical Terminology Assignments: There are twelve (12) assignments (each module counting as an assignment) that will be made available through canvas: Each assignment will consist of activities or games per chapter covered. Some chapters may consist of more games than other chapters, but you are responsible for completing ALL games for assigned chapters. Students are allowed one attempt for each game. Multiple attempts will NOT be allowed. Students are encouraged to complete all assignments for each module, but only the TOP ten modules will be included in the final point tally (the two lowest assignment grades – or zeroes if you skip an assignment - will be dropped). Assignments will be open for completion from the beginning of the week (Monday morning (12:00 a.m.) through Sunday night (11:59 p.m.). See specific dates for all assignments in the weekly class schedule below. Please note that some modules cover two (2) or (3) chapters; however, each module is considered one assignment.
