Writing… … a comment A comment type of essay takes a topic or statement (which can be based on a text) and an opinion is expressed and expanded upon with examples to support it.  If the task leaves it open to you to decide, choose the opinion you wish to present here. Collect all the material (examples and arguments) you can to support your opinion.  Then organise your material. You need to decide in which order you are going to present your arguments and examples. It is a good idea to start with the weakest and end with the strongest. Make an outline.  The introduction should arouse the reader’s interest in the topic but does not contain your opinion. This comes in the second part.  All of your arguments and examples are presented in the third part before you summarize your opinion in the conclusion.
