Description

Mayo Clinic’s Atrium Healthscape Stacy Beck February 28, 2021 The Mayo Clinic is a nonprofit organization committed to clinical practice, education and research, providing expert, whole-person care to everyone who needs healing. (Mayo Clinical 2021). The clinics main efforts are in education, research and clinical practice integration . Healthscope's development is similar with the work and importance of the group. Additionally, it is aimed at the people in the audience of the clinic. Meant for the Mayo Clinic, the conception of Healthscope is called marketing as it doesn't chiefly look like a customary lobby of a healthcare lobby . When you ebter the waiting room or the areas of service, it is inviting and the people that are there feel welcomed. It provides then with an environment that is hospitable. Therefore, the design of this atrium benefits the patients with a better healthcare experience. The Mayo Clinic’s Healthscape (the service areas, waiting rooms, and architecture) is considered marketing/advertisement for the Mayo clinic because it has that inviting environment that draws the people in, patients or not, that have that ability to share their stories or other events related to social media and posting such events. It appeals to a great audience of patients and clients since the environment appears more friendlier and less medicinal. I t has a sense of bringing patients and clients together in their time of need. It extends on the impeccable reputation that the Mayo clinic already holds and hence assists in its advertisement through its social media platform. “At the core of the marketing program is the target market, the group of customers whom the organization wishes to attract with a bundle of offerings” ( Berkowitz 2016, P.24). This includes that inviting atrium.

How the mission and goals of the Mayo Clinic align with Healthscape is that its significance is that the health landscape is centered around the people. This assists in lowering those long-term costs, enhances the safety, what the patient experiences, diminishes workforce stress and fatigue, and improve overall healthcare quality along with patient satisfaction. This will ultimately strengthen patient outcomes in a positive way.

When it comes to the customers that are being served by the hospital atrium and the events that occur around that piano, it encompasses all customers including first time and returning patients along with their family members who come to visit them in the hospital. The atrium and events truly offer the people, whether it is the patients, the families or just people in general, a feeling of optimism, the outlook of hope and encouragement. The performance to all that are the part of the events and individuals who are viewing these, give this said effect. This build on trust between all that come to the Mayo Clinic. Consequently, the atrium and what occurs their results in the Mayo Clinic comprising of the caring reputation it holds and thus is why they offer value to its customers. When you think about the piano or see the videos, you can visualize just one of the many ways the Mayo Clinic is so reputable and extraordinary. It encompasses that welcoming feeling when you come to such as place for healing. People surround the piano and are one as an extended family. Coming together can bring us hope in our time of need and encourages us to embrace our experiences.
