Nursing Care -Provide adequate nutrition w/o worsening symptoms. -Replace fluid and electrolyte losses (Elemental diet or PN) -Provide referral for counseling or support group -Maintain an environment which promotes physical and emotional rest. -High calorie, high vitamin, high protein diet, low-residue, lactose-free if lactase deficiency
