Very few relevant titles, most had the word “worldview” but nothing pertaining to the founding of America
Religious worldview America

Several books, articles by Princeton, most of the results I looked at were relevant, but some compared religion in America to that of Europe, which is less relevant to my specific topic

This resulted in more results about the impacts of worldviews in South America, could improve by specifying North America. This was a religious database offered by JFL, and it had fewer results.

Religious Worldview America Changing

Results were much closer to what I am looking for, probably because I was more specific. Several articles and books talked about the changes in religious worldviews in America, and others talked about their impact on politics. Some sources were from the 1980s, which would have a different viewpoint than those written today.

Out of the first two pages of results, maybe one or two were slightly relevant to my topic, but the majority were not. This was not as fruitful as other searches I have done, probably because all the words I used were very broad in scope. This could be improved by narrowing down one or more keywords. Several scholarly articles about changes in Christianity in America, and several on other religious movements in America. Again, searching in databases provides fewer results, and this time I excluded articles about South America.

A couple books and articles about how America’s religious views have changed over the years. While not directly tied to government, the views of the people have always impacted the role and purpose of government. GS pulls up thousands of results, and there are very few refining tools. However, the highly relevant articles and books are near the top, and this was a different kind of search. This was an interesting search. I got some articles about education, but also some about the different worldviews present in American government—exactly what I was looking for! I think that narrowing government to constitution helped pull the focus from global governments to American government specifically. Again, a mix of articles, but there were several that analyzed different worldviews that impacted America, and others that looked at how those worldviews crept into other aspects of life. By narrowing down to scholarly articles, I was able to focus on sources that I could actually use in my paper, which were reputable and relevant....
