Explain the relationship between teacher behavior and classroom management. Negative feedback reactions, problematic interactions with students (unfair treatment) and negative teaching behaviors such as negative reactions to student failures results in poor classroom management When students are hostile towards the teacher and the teacher reacts to them with more argentic yet communal behavior e.g. in a normal tone of voice talking to the students, telling the students to calm down and by actively listening to the students, the teachers ability to refrain from negativity may bend the interaction into a positive one, resulting into a positive teacher student relationship. Using aggressive forms of discipline can escalate undesirable behavior and also damage the teacher student relationship particularly in the most difficult children to discipline. Positive teacher student relationships helps students feel that they are accepted, which may encourage them to participate positively in group activities and develop a sense of school belonging and general perceived competence thus relieving their feelings of loneliness. Teachers who do not use strategies that focus on higher order thinking skills or give feedback that encourages student participation tend to have students with poor academic achievement....
