Personal Themes 1. Passion for the business My love for the oil and gas industry began as a little boy when my uncle told me about his experiences as an engineer on the rig. I became fascinated with oil rigs and derricks and drilling for oil in general. My first and only visit to an oil rig was quite frankly, the best day of my life till date. It was during my IT at Chevron, and we visited the Escravos field on a kind of excursion. I want to work as a field engineer so bad, I could even be there for the whole year, I don’t mind. When I see oil prices, and news on oil and gas, I want to feel like I’m partly responsible for that. I’m partly responsible for the main source of revenue for our country. 2. Motivation and Purpose (Why Oando?) Oando is the biggest indigenous oil and gas firm in Nigeria and Africa. Working for oando would be a dream come true because I would be fulfilling my personal dream of becoming an oil and gas engineer, while doing it for an indigenous firm, a firm made up of Nigerians, producing oil to provide revenue for Nigerians.
