Asian Paint manage their quality: Asian Paint accepts Zero Defect as a quality absolute, and shall design and operate our quality system accordingly. The company has a broad product portfolio and better product mix. The company can leverage on its broad product portfolio to improve the consumer mind share. First two quarters were weak for the overall paint industry, however the demand has picked up in the second half backed by the festive season. Asian Paints strictly withhold to their Quality policy in order to manage their products quality. Their Quality policy states: 

We shall comply with all statutory and other applicable requirements.



We shall provide products and services that meet stated standards on time, every time. We shall continually improve our processes to understand changing stakeholder needs and preferences including statutory changes and use the same as input for periodically reviewing and revising performance standards of our products and services. We accept Zero Defect as a quality absolute and shall design and operate our quality system accordingly. We shall organize our work practices to do a job right the first time, every time. We are committed to continual improvement in quality in all business processes and shall track such improvement through measurable indicators.



Whereas, in order to ensure safety and quality of their products for long time durability they perform the following measures. 1. They provide protection layers and coatings to their customers. Example: If we talk about furniture, so Asian paints provide Wood Finish to protect the furniture from termites. If entire furniture is coated with Asian Paints Wood Finish, it is difficult for the termites to attack the surface. If the termites have already infected the furniture, then they treat the furniture for termites, with the solutions easily they provide called Term guard. 2. Asian Paints manager their products quality by providing instructions and labelling expiry dates on their products so that customers may use their product within due time. 3. They’ve provided the following Instructions on their Product packaging:



If you haven't opened the lid of the product, it will last for next 3 years from the date of manufacture of the Paint.



If you have opened the lid of product, we recommend you use the product within the next 24 hours.



Do not use cotton rags for cleaning, use soft synthetic or muslin cloth. Otherwise, threads will stick to the surface leading to a patchy, uneven finish.



Do not apply the next coat without the first one drying, otherwise you will have a wrinkly, patchy finish as well as loss of gloss.



Do not sandpaper very hard, otherwise there will be scratches, roughness and poor gloss.



Do not apply very thick coats, otherwise there will be a thick rough finish, resulting in slow drying.



Avoid mixing paints yourself. Buy readymade paints as far as possible, otherwise there will be patchy and inconsistent columns in the finish.
