Following your application for admission into the University, I am pleased to offer you a place at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) for a course leading to B.Sc. Clinical Medicine in the School of medicine and College of Health Sciences. You are expected to report on Monday 2nd September 2019 at 8.00a.m. This offer is made on the basis of the certificates submitted together with your application.It is subject to satisfactory verification of those qualifications by the University authorities. In view of this, you should bring with you the original and copies of K.C.S.E. results slips, National ID/Passport/Birth Certificate or other relevant certificates during the registration day.. In addition,you are required to submit your NHIF Card and or Insurance cover policy number on the registration day for your medical cover. This offer is also subject to your acceptance to adhere to University Rules and Regulations. You are expected to make arrangements for your own private accommodation. Those wishing to be assisted in procuring private accommodation should consult the Office of the Dean of Students. You are also required to download the following Forms and joining instructions from our JKUAT Website www.jkuat.ac.ke.Complete and return them to the school to which you have been admitted as soon as possible either in person, or online via JKUAT Admission portal admission.jkuat.ac.ke.You may also bring them with you during the registration period as indicated overleaf. Fees Policy Details Complete and return them to the school to which you have been admitted as per the registration schedule overleaf and also online via JKUAT Admission portal admission.jkuat.ac.ke. Reporting and orientation date will be on Monday 2nd September, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. The document W1-2-3-18-1 concerning Regulations Governing the Conduct and Discipline of students at the University must be thoroughly read, comprehended, signed and kept for future reference.The regulations can also be downloaded from J.K.U.A.T website ( www.jkuat.ac.ke ). Included in the admission package are details of financial requirements. Pay your fees at any branch of the bank indicated in the fees schedule. Kindly note that those not able to travel to JKUAT-Main Campus on the indicated registration dates may register on the reporting day, Monday 2nd September 2019. You have been admitted to the university as a self sponsored student. For application of Higher Education Loans Board(HELB) Loan, visit their website (www.helb.co.ke). HELB will be ready to receive your application for HELB loan once you have registered. JKUAT has integrated ICT in all its courses. Some of the courses will be taught and examined on-line. You will therefore need a Laptop to facilitate on-line teaching and examination. The University has put in place provisions for students to acquire high end TAIFA laptops which are pre-loaded with Windows 10; a genuine operating system and JKUAT online courses. The laptops are affordable at a price of KSh.37,500.00 payable in two (2) instalment terms without charging interest. Details of the laptop specifications and payment terms are available in the document on Taifa laptops in JKUAT website. You are expected to pay your 1 st instalment of KSh.22,000.00 at KCB Juja Branch , JKUAT Production account no. 1107589045.You will be issued with the laptop upon completion of your registration process.
