NOTIFICATION Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Divyangjan Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment st A- 91, 1 Floor, Nagpal Business Tower, Okhla Phase- II, New Delhi- 110020 Telephone: 26387558/59, Email- [email protected] ADMISSION TO DIPLOMA IN TEACHING INDIAN SIGN LANGUAGE FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2019-21 The Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC), an autonomous body under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to DIPLOMA IN TEACHING INDIAN SIGN LANGUAGE (DTISL) programme. The DTISL programme aims to develop personnel in the field of Indian Sign Language development and teaching of ISL communication and ISL interpretation. Deaf trainees who complete this program can become ISL teachers for interpreters, deaf children, parents of hearing children, hearing children and adults at NGOs, private companies, hearing schools, etc. Admission to the above Diploma level course will be made on the basis of the merit of Written Test and Interview. Examination Fee: Rs. 400/- only for General/ OBC/ SC/ ST Physical Disability (PD) candidates paid by Demand Draft in favor of Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre payable at New Delhi. Eligibility: 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Central/ State Board of Education with minimum 45% marks at 10+2 exam. However, relaxation of marks at 10+2 level for students belonging to SC/ST category for admission to Diploma level course will be applicable as per the norms of the Central Govt.
