Though many students ask me to make this request on their behalf, I only recommend students whom I feel are well-suited for the program of their choice. Ms. X is one of those students and therefore, I highly recommend that he be given the opportunity to attend your university. I have known her for the last four years in my capacity as an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering Department and also being her academic course teacher for undergraduate study. She has taken my course on "Numerical Analysis", "Mechanics of Machinery", "Fluid Mechanics-II" and obtained good grade. I have found Ms. X to be attentive in classes. She is good at analyzing and synthesizing engineering problems. Her design skills are also impressive. I believe that she has good background to pursue graduate research. Ms. X is an intellectually matured individual. She was involved in many co-curricular activities in the university and was among the leaders to organize various programs in the department like "Auto CAD Contest" held in 2009 organized by the Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA). She has a pleasant personality with a strong character. With her good communication skills, in my opinion, she would be a good teacher too. It may be mentioned that she is profcient in written and oral English. I believe that Ms. X, being a brilliant student of this university, if enrolled in the graduate program of your university in her feld of interest, would be among topmost students of her class. I, therefore, strongly recommend her for admission to your institution. According to my judgment she has research aptitude and potential to perform advanced research in her pursued feld.
