Library Renovations Email...
To: Richard M. Apollo CC: Board of Trustees, Library Renovations Committee Subject: Hofstra Library Renovations Proposal To Mr. Richard M. Apollo: Similarly to leading colleges and universities, Hofstra University has been renovating its facilities in recent years in an effort for students to utilize spaces to the maximum capability. The Axinn Library has the potential to be the hub for student collaboration and engagement, but as it stands, many students report that the library remains bleak and dreary. During open library hours students have access to meeting rooms, study centers, group study rooms, and reading rooms, but in many cases, the resources are outdated. The Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Library is undergoing a $1.75 million overhaul of its third and fourth floors for the same result that Hofstra University is looking for - updated study spaces. The result is the perfect balance between the outdated materials in the library and modern study. By implementing this at Hofstra, students will be able to fully appreciate the convenience of the library in a modern world. The committee is interested in meeting with you on March 1st to discuss our plans for the future of the Axinn library resulting in higher patron usage, higher morale, and a boost in student grade point average. Please let us know if that date works for you. Regards, Library Renovations Committee Member 200 Hofstra University Hempstead, NY 11549 P: (516)555-1234 || F: (516)555-4321 Libraryrenovations.com...
