Loblaws wins diversity award for varied workforce. Grocery giant Loblaws has won an award for being one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers of the Year. The award, given by MediaCorp Canada Inc., is the third consecutive win for the Torontobased company, and was given for an inclusive work environment. Loblaws employs about 140,000 people across Canada at its various store brands and has long been a major employer of students, young graduates and members of various immigrant communities. It also owns T&T Supermarket, a Vancouver-based grocer that caters to the Asian market, the country's fastest growing customer segment. T&T has 22 stores in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, and runs a big Mississauga store on West Central Parkway near Mavis.
