Description

1. When looking at the Bronx Zoo logo the most obvious image you pick up from it is the giraffes and the birds. Which clearly denotes it is a zoo. What may not be as easy to spot is that the negative space between the legs of the giraffes actually depict New York’s skyscrapers, New York’s iconic skyline. The Bronx Zoo takes pride in being located in the borough of Bronx, in New York City. Which can be seen by the homage they pay in their logo to New York City. This hidden design element successfully reinforces the brand image as the Bronx Zoo being in New York as the Bronx Zoo is the largest zoo in North America. 2.

The organization HACI’s, Hope for African Children Initiative, core mission is to support African communities. When taking a glimpse at the logo the first thing one might notice is the outline of the continent of Africa in the negative white space. What one might not realize is that there is actually a hidden second image in this logo. The second image uses the golden yellow and the orange to create a contour of what appears to be two faces, one being a child and another an adult. This hidden design element successfully reinforces HACI’s core mission in their logo because the contour of the child is looking up to the adult. This makes it seem like the child has hope in the adult.

3. Roxy is a clothing line that is sold at PacSun for girls. A lot of their clothes is targeted towards surfing and snowboarding. This clothing line is also owned by Quicksilver. Therefore, it is no wonder that their logo which is a heart includes Quicksilvers logo inside. Roxy’s logo includes two Quicksilver logos turned to their sides facing each other inside the heart. The logo is still unique to Roxy but pays homage to Quicksilver....
