Looking at domestic violence from legal standpoint is bad for both victims, and prepators.



Prepators are dehumanized as well as victims.



Prepators being locked and not looked at as products of rape culture solves nothing.



They just end up being looked at beyond “fixing”



One way to fix domestic violence is to fix the culture that creates like work being done in the Latinx culture to change definitions of masculinty.



Another way of helping changing the domestic violence situation in this country is supporting the victims telling there story and not being shamed. Relate to self 

Father’s abusive treatment of my mother is due to culture views on masculinity.



My dad’s refusal to go to marriage counseling is due to masculinity and inability to admit he needs help due to thinking of being weak.



My cousin’s pride that he can’t be wrong is due to toxic masculinity....
