General Notes about Maccas -

Macca's has 39000 stores around the world McDonalds serve around about 65 million customers per day in the markets They operate McDonald's sees about 80% of the population on an annual basis McDonald's as a whole generate around about 100 billion dollars US in sales per year About 5 to 6 million profits in 2020 their profit went down to 4.7 billion  obviously was covid-19 Macca’s Growth Pillars o M = Maximising our marketing  brand and affordability  Distribution place – digital, drive-thru o C = Committing to the Core  Burger, Chicken, and Coffee  McDonald's spend around annually on advertising 4 billion US on advertising their goal is what they called brand advocacy  Macca have a value ladder  loose change menu to Premium Angus burger  Covid-19 effect = affordability on everyone mind’s  Macca’s strategic plan was based on what they have learnt in they've learnt that Macca’s need to focus their advertising on brand on Integrity on the food on value and on the emotional connection that people feel with Macca's  Macca’s Top market = US, Australia, Japan, UK…  Macca's advertisements are about their sustainable sourcing of chicken or their new coffee blend  Coffee is a massive thing for McDonald's across the world because coffee and the sale of coffee drives guest accounts  Macca's app is one of the most downloaded apps in Australia they talk about ordering and increasingly  United States in drive-thru now, McDonald's have already started employing artificial artificial intelligence so when you turn up to a drive through a computer take your order you talk to a computer  20% of sales come from Digital ordering o D = Doubling down on the 3D  Delivery, Drive-thru, Digital  e McDonald's now have their own tech company in Silicon Valley called Mctechlabs and Mctechlabs is a company that they bought it's an Israeli company collects data around the world based around 1 person in each country.  25000 out of the 39000 stores have driven-thru during the height of Covid in the top markets accounted for about 70% of Macca's sales and they have in recently in their top markets decreased the time that you wait in there until a for about 30 seconds of taking 30 seconds off the average wait time  Delivering through 3rd parties’ company – uber eats, Deliveroo and menu log.
