New Product Proposal In this New Product Proposal project, our group decided to introduce a new product of Nike Incorporated Company, which is called an electric foot massager. First of all, an electric foot massager would be a necessary asset for the customers’ need when its major benefit is not only to relax their feet, but also for their entire body. It will help to increase our customer satisfaction due to taking care of our customers’ health. Moreover, we are also going to offer a great deal for the price of this new product. When they buy our sports shoes or clothes, they can get a discount or a good price for an electric foot massager. Its style will be uniquely designed in sporty way for those who like dynamic style. According to Acupressure for Feet (2019), “Whether you run, play soccer, tennis or basketball, you can provide your feet with some natural, soothing relief. Not to mention the additional health benefits that come along with faster recovery.” (para. 3). Adidas seems to be our indirect competition when they provide their customers a new style of sandals which has the same functions as a massager. Besides, our direct competition is the RENPHO of Shiatsu Massage Company. Vu (2019) reports that “Just like our original choice, the RENPHO – Shiatsu effectively combines Shiatsu-style rollers with air compression and heat to relax the muscles in your feet and remove tension that built up during the day.” (para. 44). This massage machine has almost the same basic features as our new product. Thirdly, our potential customer is for both women and men who are runners and athletes. In fact, Nike has been focusing on its main target markets for many years: runners and sports fans. We chose our target market range from 20 to 35 years old. As the price is inexpensive, the customers with their average income still can purchase for this product. In addition, we

are also going to develop and expand our new idea in Toronto, Canada. This is one of the biggest cities in Ontario so that we can get a large number of customers to introduce our new product – an electric foot massager. We believe that our Nike electric foot massager will bring our customers into a great massage service, along with its high performance and quality. Thanks to Nike’s brand reputation for many years, we hope that this new machine will be the first and best choice for customers around the world.
