We aim to cover the entire textbook, with the exception of the starred sections and the Epilogue. The textbook contents will be followed in order, except that parts of Section 22 (Infinite Sequences) and Section 23 (Infinite Series) were discussed at the beginning of the course. Problem Sets. There will be 20 weekly problem sets, to be handed in and returned in tutorial. Only 18 problem sets will be marked. Problem sets will be posted on the UofT Portal, normally at least one week before the due date. We cannot accept late problem sets because this would be unfair to the Teaching Assistants, who already have a large work load. Tests and Exam. There will be 3 term tests (2 in the fall), and a final exam to be written during the Faculty final examination period, April 2016. The first term test took place Monday October 26, in tutorial. The second was held during the December examination period (December 18). Test 3 will be written Monday Febuary 29, in tutorial.
