Topic and Research Question Topic: The Woman’s Suffrage Movement and the Nineteenth Amendment The topic that I selected is the Woman’s Suffrage Movement and the Nineteenth Amendment. This historical event changed the lives and treatment of women across the United States. The event is significant because it gave women equal voting rights that matched them up with the rights that men already had. After fighting, the movement won equal rights at the ballot box, in the workplace, and in society at large. In the end, this also helped open the doors to allowing women to run for and hold a place in office. The movement allowed women to have a say in the political field and paved the way for women to no longer be treated as second class citizens.
