Is social networking a good thing or a bad thing for companies? In this information technology age if your company is not using social networking to communicate with customers and for marketing purposes than your company may be lacking and not effectively communicating with customers to the fullest potential. However, are these social networks secure and safe for companies to be using? These are the two main positives and negatives to using social networking in a company that have to be considered. I think social networking is a good thing for companies because they are now able to reach out to customers in way like never before. Companies are able to receive immediate feedback on products/ services through social networking and are better able to provide customers with what they want as a result. Also, social networking is a free source of advertising and marketing for companies. However, I do think that safety and security is a serious risk to be considered and I think that companies need to secure their networks and have anti-virus software to protect themselves from threats....
