Dejah Campbell 101160569 1. Who directed and produced DVD The Legend of The Mountain Man? The film is written, produced, and directed by Mark Wood. 2. What is the name of the company? 3. What happened to the dysfunctional family? The Mom left the Dad because his sickness was too much for her to handle. The kids were upset with the Dad because he had to send them to live with the grandparents so that he could chemotherapy without having to worry the kids or worry himself about possibly not being at full strength to care for them. 4. What is wrong between the father and grandfather? The father accidentally shot his younger brother 26 years ago when he went looking for the mountain man but because the grandfather doesn’t believe the mountain man is real, he won’t forgive the father. 5. What kind of the facial expressions did they use generally? Throughout the film I noticed they mainly used angry, upset, annoyed/irritated, and sad expressions. 6. What kind of the monster did they meet? The monster they saw was Big Foot or the Yeti. 7. How do you feel without the sound background and with the subtitles? At first I didn’t really like it because it meant I couldn’t multitask and had to pay close attention or I’d miss the film but once the plot began to pick up I found myself enjoying it very much. 8. Did you try to understand their ASL fluently if without the subtitles? No, not really. They were speaking in full sentences and with my beginner knowledge I found their movements to be either too fast, too complex, or if I was able to catch something it would only be a few words/gestures that I was able to pick up in a sentence like if they were spelling something out, I knew the letters. 9. In the end, what was happened? Happy end? Sad end? In the end, the grandmother learns that the Mountain Man is real and that the grandfather knew the whole time. She was upset because she was angry at Frank, the kids Dad, for so long over something that wasn’t even true. In the very end though, they all come to forgive one another. Everyone makes up and the film ends on a happy note. 10.
