1. Discuss the reasons why international business is much more complex today than it was 20 years ago. International business is much more complex today than it was 20 years ago for many reasons. For example, with all the new and improved technology in today’s world B2B trade has become a lot more complex with the use of the internet. As well as, over the years the number of consumers as well as number of markets to analyze has grown. In addition, over the past twenty years, there has been an increase in global competition which influences international business. Lastly, there was been an increase in political and government barriers as well as cultural barriers which has a big impact on international business. 2. What is the nature of global competition? The nature of global competition is the goods or services that are provide by companies that aid international companies. Global competition has acceptable companies to buy and sell their services internationally, which creates an opportunity to increase profits and compresses the playing field in business. Effective leaders distinguish the need to acclimate to the swiftly altering ways to do business in the global environment. These leaders seek to build competitive advantages around the fundamental skills of the organization, while also lowering costs to conduct their business. 3. Does international trade accurately reflect the nature of global competition? Global trade does not accurately reflect the nature of global competition. I say this because there are too many characteristics of international trade. As well as the economy is the major driving force for international trade. Global competition is motivated completely by the ability to buy products. Global trade is an aspect amongst international trade. 4. How is global marketing different from international marketing? Global marketing is different from international marketing because it is a more advanced stage of international marketing. Global marketing starts by making export marketing the most important aspect of the countries marketing tactics. Once exporting became successful, it begins to look to expand and grow by using international marketing. Global marketing is used to begin the process and develop it then international marketing is used to completely expand. 5. Why do you think a company should or should not market the same product in the same way around the world? I do think companies should market the same product the same way around the world. I say this because, everyone across the globe has different preferences and needs. For example,

there are McDonalds located all around the world, but and just about every location you can find a different menu. You might be able to come about the marketing strategies for the different products in a similar way, but in most cases in might not always work. For example, in America McDonalds is known for their burgers and fries, but in Israel they are known for their falafels, as well as in India they are known for the McCurry Pan. There are different tastes across the globe and you have to come about advertising those differently.

6. How is the Internet reshaping the nature of global marketing? The internet is reshaping the nature of global marketing because it is a main provider of information as well as helping with trade. Internet allows information to be provided to a worldwide audience, which is very powerful. The ability to be able to send and receive information instantly rather than waiting for answers is definitely a big factor within global marketing....
