Night of the Living Dead is considered as the ‘Grandfather” to the zombie genre because if we compare it to movies from the present the comparison would be so different. The movie characters are Barbara, Jones, and five other characters that are trapped in a farm house. The reason why the humans are trapped in the farm house is because they are being attacked by zombies. The film is a really old movie. To begin with, the movie itself is black and white. Back in the days the movies weren’t shown with color like today.The lighting in the films also bring a huge difference from movies that are shown today. The films before had lighting that is dimmed or dark and today there's so much light that show all colors. If we compare the features of the zombies the makeup is different. In the old days the zombies had makeup although it was not so dramatic. Today the makeup is so dramatic it sometimes looks real and gross. For example, the blood can look so real when actors wear the makeup in movies. Next, the digital technology is now advanced. Zombie films in the past did not have special effects that technology can do like today. The movies from the past had zombies that are really slow and zombies that weren’t capable of running. The films today have zombies that walk and run. Those zombies that run make the films today more intense because they have an easier access to the victims that they are trying to eat. Night of the Living Dead had a difference in the actors compared to today. In the past and present films the situation still remains the same. The characters are in a situation where they are running for their life to not get eaten by zombies. If a zombie bites a person and gets in contact with their blood the humans gets contagious and becomes a zombie afterwards. What is different from the actors compared to today is the way they solve their problem. For example, the films from the past use the radio and television to have access to be aware of what is going on. The films from today use telephones, computers, and the television.Today they have access to better safety. In the past the zombies weren’t as smart as today. The zombies from the old films were just zombies that walk and are weak to protect themselves. The zombies today are really strong and have easier access to weapons where they are used to keep them alive although they really aren’t “alive, they are dead. Overall I thought that this movie had so many differences from movies of today. The movie Night of the Living Dead had a not so exciting feeling like zombie movies from today. Watching Night of the Living Dead in class was the first time I saw the film. At points the movie was intense but the way it ended was not so good. The biggest difference I see are the way the scenes are placed. If certain scenes were to be placed somewhere else the movie would have been better.

Hello Juan, how are you? To start off, I have to say I completely agree with your perspective towards Night of the Living Dead. I also agree with the knowledge of knowing that this movie was a threat to the people due to the way the movie was presented. I find it interesting how back in time the people were easily grossed out from the blood and all of the stuff that today now seems normal. Today we don't throw up from parts of the movie that can be gross. So amazing how the times have changed with the zombie genre. We as well know that George Romero inspired many films that we now have today that are pretty scary. The movie directors had a huge inspiration on what exactly to film to make it all a great film. Those films are now the genre of horror. George Romero does have a huge part in that genre. Horror is usually in many things from the television to books. Horror films are my favorite! They never are boring because you always expect something scary to make you jump! Like many of us that love horror films we

know exactly that there are films that get really intense. Its entertaining....
