A movie review about every child is special....

Description

Movie Review: Every Child is Special 1. What is the basic argument of the film's plot? What themes (an abstraction or generalizations about life, humanity, and human interactions) underlie the plot? What does the film show about the people and their values? What is the general set of assumptions upon which the film is based? The movie mainly discusses the differences of children and that not everyone born normal, some have a special case and just like the movie where the main character has a disorder called dyslexia. It is a disorder where children have difficulties in reading, writing and even in speaking. In this film, Ishaan suffered from this disorder and everyone around him make it more complicated for him to overcome this disorder. The parents of Ishaan do not understand his situation and think of him as a lazy and idiot, same as the teacher of Ishaan. They are being impatient and even pressuring him to understand everything faster. The child needs special attention and sympathy in order to understand him. It was indeed depressing to live in a society full of comparison and high expectation. Some parents put a pressure to their child to be like someone. This kind of parenting will make their child suffer and may cause depression, anxiety and fear to failure. The film literally shows realistic situation that was happening in the society and even bring a lesson and awareness to everyone who do not have a learning about these cases. It also shows what education system of the school where Ishaan study. The three pillars that they believe a key to success, it was order, discipline and labor. They also do not recognize special children to success and thinks of them as a failure. However, there were always one professor who will see the talent we have. Just like in the film Mr. Ram Shankar, the new art teacher of Ishaan helps him to nurture the talent he has. Thanks to dedication of Mr. Ram, Ishaan finally able to go back to his life where he is happy and satisfied. It shows to us that we need to learn to reach out and be patient and dedicated and don’t give up to people who needs special care and attention. It was a good movie that many of us will love and be emotional. 2. Rate the movie from 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. Kindly justify your rate to this movie. Is it entertaining? Does it keep your attention? Would you see the film again?

If I were to rate the film it would be 10 because the movie was not just inspiring but also entertaining because of the actor sense of humor. Aamir Khan is one of my favorite actors in Bollywood films, I watched Three Idiots, PK and Every Child is Special since before because of him. It is also helpful in my studies and myself because it broadens and open my mind to not be judgmental but rather to be rational. This movie will not just make us laugh but also cry because there are still people who don’t want to understand and to accept, this will also enlighten our hearts that everyone deserves to be accepted and loved. This movie brings awareness to everyone that all of us have our own battle to overcome, so we should treat everyone kindly. It also provided a lot of lesson if we understand the flow of story. It keeps my attention because I can see the other side of the society. The society who rejects those individuals different from them. In my perspective, I will not just rewatched it but I would also recommend it to watched because it was worth the time. This movie will show us how others discriminate those special children and as the movie goes, we can see the progress and those persons will start to regret their action and learn to understand and accept. 3. All movies teach a lesson. What did you learn from this one? In this movie I learn the real meaning of love and acceptance. Not everyone born normal there are some who have disabilities but have unique characteristic that makes them special. Those person with disabilities should be treated well and love them unconditional. I also learn that we all have our own downfall, we have weaknesses but we should still remember that we have talent, skills and strength that will help us to overcome those challenges. Everyone needs a hero, a hero that will guide us and help us to discover the things, our hidden talent that will help us to nurture. The quote that “no man is an island”, it is true. We can’t live isolated, we need someone who will accept us, our flaws. We should never normalize cancelling someone or rejecting them because it may kill them mentally that cause of depression and too much frustration. Lastly, I learn that we should know how to accept and listen but never judged or discriminate. If all of us understand and learn this, we can make a difference and change the mindset of those close-minded people....
