Academic Biography: My name is Dr. Bari Courts. My educational background includes a PhD from Capella University in Organizational Management and an MBA in Management from the University of Cincinnati. In addition, I have a BS in Mathematics from Kenyon College. My time at Capella was spent entirely online so I am very familiar with the time commitment and other issues associated with completing a degree online. It is not easy, but it IS very rewarding. I have been teaching online for over 10 years now. Courses I have taught include e-Commerce, Economics, Management, Organizational Behavior, Research Methodology, and Statistics. My professional background includes some time in the insurance industry and a position as a project manager for a major ERP software implementation. I also own a small selfstorage business just outside of Cincinnati. Professionally I am a board member of two organizations, conduct presentations on various topics, and write course curriculum. My research interests include writing about Google Analytics. My current project is www.allstarcountryradio.com where I am tracking traffic through Google Analytics. Feel free to visit the site if you wish. It is free for you to listen, and it produces no revenue. My family life has changed recently. My wife and I, along with our son (now age 28) and daughter (now age 17) travelled to Russia in February 2011 to adopted two little girls now ages 5 and 6. They have adapted quite well and the experience has been priceless. In addition, for the current school year we are hosting a foreign exchange student from Shanghai,

China. We have quite the international flavor in our household. In the works – another sibling pair from Congo, boys ages 2 and 4. In my free time, I stay active by playing soccer for exercise, and singing in both a barbershop chorus and barbershop quartet. All the activities keep me out of trouble... most of the time :) I look forward to working with you during this course.
