Everything that is on my desk has a purpose in my life. First, my desk shows how important organization is in my life. I have two jars. One for pens and pencils and one for markers. I have a perfectly stack set of books, a desk light and a calendar. Some say I have OCD because and my desk is literally always neat. I live a busy life so I try to stay as organized as I can. I enjoy reading so I tend to keep the books I currently read on my desk.

Second, my desk would show you how important my family and friends are to me. My family is my support system and having pictures of them reminds me of the people who love me the most. I also like to have pictures of my closest friends to remind myself of who I choose to surround myself with. Third, my desk would tell you how important education is to me. I have a file holder on my desk that contains all of my education work since I’ve started college. It shows that I not only value my future career as a teacher, but reminds me of my future endeavors. I’m grateful for my experiences in the education field and plan on putting what I have learned to good use.

Lastly, I have a coaster for drinks on my desk and the coaster reads one of my favorite quotes by Thomas Edison which is “I haven’t failed. I just found ten thousand ways that won’t work”. Believe it or not I catch myself reading that quote more than you normally would think. Overall, my desk is something that represents who I am and who I’m trying to become....
