Description

My MBTI result is ENTP. As a leader, I can solve problems and make strategic decisions. I also quickly become aware of other people's character and the power to connect with others in my social relationships. I enjoy connecting with new people and motivating them. But within a few weeks, I quickly realized that I was not a problem-fixing banker. In my daily life, I usually help people find their way or find opportunities through challenges. I have to communicate to bring people to the surface together and involve themselves in solving problems. I think this is my strength as a leader. Maybe ENTP means, as a leader, I can't do everything by myself. As a leader, I have to communicate dan responding to other people before deciding something to be a "win-win solution" for everyone. NVC and SCARF are critical in strengthening my leadership. I learned about how the brain controls and how feelings influence my behavior and personality, as stated in NVC (Nuty, 2011). Rock (2008) suggests that the brain can connect with feelings to detect what to agree with and reject easily. It means we must realize and know ourselves first so that I want to work to influence others rather than just giving orders. I also learned how the SCARF models could encourage us to use our common sense and positive feelings to communicate like a leader. I also believe that Autonomy allows us to develop the ideas we need and have the confidence to apply them to ourselves first correctly and then to those around us. If we are autonomous, we will be happier because we don't have to depend on other people. I also understand that we can build better interactions by classifying weaknesses, strengths, challenges, and opportunities through the MBTI. Nonviolent communication is one way to increase resilience and chances and reduce faults. Appreciating other people's performance is a great way to increase motivation to improve their performance, so I know my co-workers will feel involved and have that success. Communicating with empathy and appreciation has helped me as a leader to achieve my goals. When I speak with colleagues or peers, either verbally or non-verbally, I put an element of empathy in it. I also appreciate the achievements that other people have made. We are giving appreciation and compassion. It is also a form of validation for a positive attitude so that other people will defend it. As I said, we don't have to be problem-solving bankers, but we can help other people, just listen and comfort their grief with empathy. In the last words, I underline that the experience is a practical lesson. The more we experience, the more we can develop our personality as a leader. For example, when we find out that we are weak at time management, we can advise us on managing our time well and then start scheduling and sticking to it. If it works, then keep doing it. If not, keep looking for how. Asking for help is not a sin but a strength that can help us become successful leaders.
