The NFL released a statement thanking former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for his efforts to increase awareness about social justice issues outside sports, but that still wasn’t enough to get his job back. The commercial starts off showing all different types of people, races, and genders. Joe Burrow shaking hands with Chase Young. Patrick Mahomes shaking hands with Keith Mumphery. Coaches of different races locking arms together. African Americans holding up “no justice, no peace” signs. Players of different teams locking arms together. Sarah Thomas was the first ever female to ref the Super Bowl. Players wearing names of people who were killed by police. Switching people by talent information that everyone is the same and needs to be treated as equal. Informing that there needs to be a change. The commercial includes pictures that are black and white which creates an old look that falls back on racism. The tone that is used is an encouraging one just based on what was said and how it was said. The format of the commercial was well in place by how the people were showcased. Still images that were shown were the beginning of the ad which included different colors of elderly people. Factors like music, color, and voiceovers contribute to the intended message of this ad by the music having that sad tone. The color of each slide was either in black

and white or in regular clore which gave the back in the day look. This ad had different locations throughout it. Started off with football players before and after the game, and then showed black and white location with people holding up BLM signs. NFL Round 2: This Time With Social Justice, 2021 by Anquan Boldin. The content of this ad fits in with the general knowledge or ideas people might have about the products, services, or companies represented by showcasing the main idea about police brutality which still goes on today. Racism still is a thing in 2021, which police over use their power on African Americans. Colin Kaepernick remains unemployed due to his actions with the kneel during the national anthem, which what he did wasn’t in the wrong but got in trouble for it. Finally, the NFL released a statement thanking former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for his efforts to increase awareness about social justice issues outside sports. Opening up everyone's eyes to the truth.
