Description

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. One Porsche Drive, Atlanta, GA 30354 770-290-3500

March 8, 2017 Mr. Jon Smith 9930 Wilshire Bl. Los Angeles, CA 90210 Dear Mr. Smith: Thank you for providing us with detailed information on the current defective state of your vehicle’s engine, and expressing your concern over the recent GT3 recall. After sending our very best technicians to examine your vehicle’s engine, we have determined that the engine was under heavy stress and wear; and was possibly pushed past redline @9000 RPM, causing damage to the cylinder heads and various engine components. Given that the Porsche limited warranty does not cover damage caused by severe engine stress, we cannot provide you with a replacement vehicle. Despite this, we want you to enjoy your track days to the fullest. We are more than willing to repair the engine for a fee of $1000 and will return your vehicle within the next week; we will also provide you with a loaner vehicle to prevent any further inconvenience. Please let us know your final decision. I look forward to hearing your input on this situation. Thank you for your inquiry. Respectfully, Porsche North America
