Running Head: PERSONAL ETHICS FRAMEWORK

1

The individual moral model has depicted in the manner one acts in different circumstances one faces day by day. Assessing an individual's virtues is an unquestionable requirement that cannot be confined in a single day. It takes much time how a person behaves by dealing with different experiments of life, by handling tough or hard situations and making choices according to that. The ethical model that Denton focused is on the current situation of the world. How the world is facing different scenarios is showed up the ethical model that the individuals follow. Today the world is leading towards unsustainable development, which gives rise to the dearth of natural resources like food, water, air, and every natural gift. These natural gifts help us to survive, but as with the technology advancement and industrialization, for the sake of money, people are ruining them. Nature reverts to these unethical deeds of human beings indirectly as various health issues. To exemplify, people are now deprived of good air quality, which they pollute by industrial pollution. COVID-19 is the best example of a severe health issue that we are facing nowadays is the result of wrong personal choices. So, it is essential to choose the ethical model, which leads to sustainable development. People are needed to be aware of their decisions to have a balance between the technology and the sustainability that is the demand of the current scenario (Denton, 2014). There are many times when I face ethical issues in my life, and I struggled hard to make the right decisions to confirm that my decisions will not disrupt anything. However, if I evaluate my decisions of life and how it impacts the nature and environment in the wrong way, I think there were a lot. I learned many things about how to make ethical decisions and how it comes from us, behaving to others during the whole course. This changed my way of thinking in a better way. During the past week readings, benefit me to decide what I should need to consider while making an ethical decision. Denton reading assists that nobody in this world is

wrong; it depends on one's choices. The choices that human-made for their necessity and benefit, which has a good or bad reflection on the environment and future. In today's era, we are living in a through-away society. Even earlier, I get influenced by consumerism and always want to have a new model of things. I used to buy things as I attract by them, not by their needs. However, now I always think of what I need to have and how it should reflect on the environment. For instance, every electronic waste lead to the cause of harmful diseases like cancer, brain tumor, and many more as electronic gadgets emit radiation even, they are not in use. Now I always think of this in mind that I do not need to get the new electronic stuff. I will go to the older one. As one or another way, waste will harm human beings. In my perception, the meaning of life is to be happy, have a healthy and safe environment that is our real wealth of life. I always think of positive in my life; nothing matters what. I used to be kind and good to others. My values are to be strong enough to help others in need that I have learned from my family. My whole family is from a defense background; both my grandparents were in Army, one thing that they use to teach me, and my siblings are to be ready all the time to help others, the reason why we are born is to serve others and nature. Moreover, my parents are in the police department, so I brought in an environment where I always heard about being honest in life as honesty always pays. Ethics is not a one-day game or change, in an instance. It a long process of learning ethical values in our life. My mother is a police officer, always gives priority to the job despite family, which built the kindness in me for the people. My values are we are living in a big family of nation or world as it is our responsibility to protect our people and make the right decisions that will not harm any person or any living organism.

Additionally, this course provides me lots of teaching. Now even I am using water, I use to think if that much of water I needed, or I can manage in a less quantity. Sometimes, the situations teach the best lessons of life that cannot be learned from the books as I get to know the value of sanitary paper and towels because of the scarcity of them during the current quarantine period. Now I realize it does not matter what the value of thing but what matters is the need. So, I am now more careful about using natural resources. I remember a time when I work as an intern at an international airport in Delhi, India. I worked with a team of communication engineers as an assistance worker. We had a great project of improvising a device Datis, which helps to communicate the pilot from the ground. Nevertheless, this device has a significant side effect on the environment as it emits much radiation, which is harmful to the brain of a human being. At that time, I made a great decision to diminish that project and stay up the older version of the device. That was hard for me to decide by taking the risk for the whole team. Even everyone on a team has a fear of deduction of marks as we were under training, but my values do not allow me to do this unethical task for grades at the sake of people's life. I make an excellent decision to take a stand and work for another project. I get appreciated for that later by my seniors. Another moment of mine that I want to share about is of my childhood; I stopped my parents from pulling out a tree that is in the center of my home. My parents want to furnish our home in a modern style so that they want to remove the tree from home exposed to furnish it well. However, I have a strong bonding with the trees and plants, so I deny their decision and insist on them not touch that tree; they later permit me and make development by taking care of the environment. That shows my love for nature. There are so many ways in which one can go with sustainable development without distorting nature.

Likewise, there were many times when I prioritize humanity above everything else. In my insight, every decision we made has a direct or indirect impact on nature and the environment. So, every individual is to be careful about their choices by taking care in mind that they are dealing with nature, which will reflect on their tasks one day. This course has a significant impact on my life as it helps me to make wiser decisions and changes the way of thinking from a new perspective. The course will surely reflect in my future decisions.
