Create and review a list of the common medications found on the addictions unit. Research the common diagnosis associated with the use of these medications using patient charts and online resources. Consult a drug book. Discuss my findings with a nurse or my clinical instructor. Test my knowledge through demonstration to my clinical instructor. Review course notes and online resources related to skills. Seek out opportunities for patient assignments that indicate a need for these skills. Discuss with nurses and clinical instructor areas of improvement.
