UNIT 5 ASSIGNMENT 2 - C1 P5 – External Influences and their impact PESTLE ANALYSIS For Unit 5 Assignment 2. A copy of the PESTLE Analysis powerpoint and an example are on Teams / Files / Unit 5 / Assignment 2 for your information and for you to refer to. Also use your class notes. You are selecting one of your businesses from assignment 1 and you need to choose two countries that they do not currently trade with and complete a PESTLE analysis for each country. Undertake extensive research into the two countries and use a range of sources to help you to gather information and evidence to support your points within the PESTLE Analysis. Create a bibliography to record all of your sources.

Country One: 

Complete a pen profile of the country – who are they / the geographic location / size / population etc



Complete a bullet point PESTLE analysis – there should be three factors per section i.e. 3 political factors / 3 economic / 3 social / 3 technological / 3 legislative / 3 environmental or ethical factors - use the powerpoint on Teams and your class notes to remind you of the factors

e.g. Political factors may include: political situation are they communist, fascist, a democracy / are they relatively stable government / are they having elections soon / who is the leading political party and what are their policies / are they part of a trading bloc Economic may include: unemployment levels / inflation / interest rates / exchange rates You need to find information and evidence relating to each of these factors. 

You then write a report which develops the bullet points and allows you to outline how and why these factors may impact on a business which might want to trade with or in that country
