READING IN THE PHILIPPINE HISTORY 1. Discuss the importance of historical analysis - People need historical analysis to get and learn verified and reliable facts about history. By familiarizing themselves with the time period in which something was made or occurred, people can obtain a deeper understanding of it. It requires looking through various records, artifacts, data, and websites. Historical analysis is an important component of the Historical Method process that brings it to a close. Without it, the Historical Technique cannot be developed, and the method will be devoid of sufficient documentation, because Historical Analysis is the aspect in which historians gather crucial sources and data to be examined and assessed for source authenticity. People in the present will also be misled and uneducated about key events or specific problems that occurred in the past if they are not analyzed. Because it is more likely to occur in the present, and people may be unsure of what to do. People are better informed, comprehend historic events, and can acquire insights on how to deal with similar challenges in the present with the help of historical analysis.

Explain the difference between factual history and speculative history. - Basically, the word "factual" and its root word "fact" suggest that the offered data and information is primarily made up of pure facts that have previously been verified. While in Speculative History, the word "speculate" refers to
speculations, opinions, and facts based solely on guesswork and that can be seen from several perspectives. The distinction between factual and speculative history is that factual history refers to historical events that have strong proof or evidence that they actually occurred and can be verified through documentation.
