1. Explain the differences between managers and leaders:

In my opinion, the difference of managers and leaders are: Managers -

Managers is the person in charge that manage the organization by monitoring their employees works and they also will ensure that the company can achieve the target. In the organization, manager will monitor, observe, investigate, examine and do the decision making to their employees’ performance and production in the company. For example, the managers will monitor their employees’ performance regularly. If there is a bad performance record that shows by their employees, the managers will make the decision making such as send unperformed employees go to training session. Other than that, managers also will control the issues occurs in the organization. For example, when there is an issues arise for their product, the managers will take the advance initiative to control the issues without any leaking news. Therefore, manager’s role in the organization is very important to ensure the business maintain secured.

Leaders -

Leaders is a person that leading the group which is mostly focus on imaginative ideas. For example, they only provide the ideas but not working on it. They only give the instructions on the ideas that they need in their group. Other than that, they also have high motivational spirit which can inspire others. For example, leaders will advise their team members to be a hardworking person which have vision of future and goals in their life. They also convince people to be a successful and educated person. They might motivate their team members to make changes in their lifestyle and level of thinking to make the team members more motivate and have high confidence level. Thus, leader is not same as manager because leader will lead the team but manager will be deciding the decision making.

2. Why is it that a leader is defined by a following?

A leader defined by a following is a person that leading the group which is mostly focus on imaginative ideas. For example, the leader gives the explanation to the group people for understanding the topic to discuss. Leader is about motivating people to perform at a higher level to achieve the goals of the organisation and can choose among alternative courses of action when they make decisions in a group....
