7. Follow and complete Steps 0 to 4 of the Logisim Tutorial. By the end, you will have completed an XOR circuit. Good work! TODO 2: Export your completed circuit and keep it by going to File->Export Image, you will upload this to Gradescope along with the next step of the Prelab. Be sure you are mostly comfortable with where components are in Logisim. You can zoom in and out in Logisim by changing the percentage zoom at the bottom left.

Overleaf Registration (1 mark)

The pre-lab is due at 9 am on Gradescope on the day of your lab. You should have been registered by us. To login go to https://gradescope.ca (NOT gradescope.com. 1. Register with Overleaf here2 . You can use any email you like. 2. Once you have registered, go in and copy the template here3 by clicking the menu button on the upper left corner. 3. TODO 3: Answer the questions in the project you have copied. Add the screenshot from the Logisim tutorial to the end of this document. • We expect you to learn LaTeX in your own time. Even though it is not required to use LaTeX on Overleaf for the assignments, we strongly recommend you use LaTeX. It makes it much easier to mark assignments/labs and it will become mandatory for some of the upper year Computer Science Courses. • To add the screenshot, search for the łinclude graphicsž command for LaTex on the internet. This should give you a place to start in understanding LaTex. 4. Recompile your document. (You can set Overleaf to do that automatically if you prefer). 5. Export as a PDF document. 6. Login to https://gradescope.ca and TODO 4: Submit the PDF document you have exported from Overleaf. 2 3
