Project Scope Statement Project: Wilmont’s Pharmacy Drone Case

Description: DroneTech got a big project with an important company: Wilmont´s Pharmacy. It consists in a project to deliver prescriptions with flying drones in San Francisco Area. Purpose: The purpose of this project is to create a whole system to deliver prescriptions by drone. The system will consist on flying drones and the technological interface to manage them (Web page and APP to customers and TI System for Wiltmont's Pharmacy). Get an outstanding approval by the customer will give a DroneTech a good marketing and will have a long-term relationship with a big client who could brings us new projects. Project Goals: Initially the project will begin to with four stores in the San Francisco area. DroneTech will provide the drone and the whole system to complete Wilmont´s Pharmacy requirements. Project Scope Description: The drone delivery project includes the following Scope elements: Four flying Drones and system customization:  Each drone should have adapted a temperature-controlled bagging system;  Each drone should have Installed a bubble-type cushioning system;  Each drone should have painted on the case, the Wilmont’s corporate colors and logo;  DroneTech will provide pilots for the drones;  DroneTech will customize the system to comply with Wilmont’s requirements;  The system shall interface to Wilmont’s enhanced online order entry process;  The system shall allow customer to access by online entry or smartphone;  The system shall interface communication about deliveries electronically (e-mail, online, mobile alerts) as customer requests. Deliverables:  Four drones  Customized delivery system and business process.  Monthly reports.  Manual Delivery Information:  Project book. Acceptance Criteria: To consider the Project a success, the following criteria must be completed:

Flying drones’ criteria:  Four flying drones.  Drones must be painted with the corporate colors and logo of Wilmonts’.  Temperature-controlled bagging system must be installed.  Cushion system must be installed.  Release system (Clamps) needs to work reliably. System’s criteria:  Delivery system must be customized to comply with Wilmonts’ requirements.  Business process must be customized to comply with Wilmonts’ requirements.  System must interface to Wilmonts’ online order entry process.  Customers must be able to use online or smartphone entry to order.  Ensure that the relationship between DroneTech and Wilmont’s does not compromise the security of Wilmont’s business information. Drone delivery criteria:  The first customer delivery must be no later than November 30. Constrains:  The project begins on January 5  The first customer delivery flight should take place no later than November  Customers in apartment building are not eligible to the drone service due to delivery issues.  Budget cannot exceed US$ 1,750,000 Assumptions:  DroneTech will be responsible for the Drones’ maintenance and spare pieces.  DroneTech will be responsible for system updates.  DroneTech will be responsible for any damaged on the drone. Key Milestones:  Sign the contract - W3  Test the IT System - W12  Test the drone flight - W16  Quality and Security approval - W20  Complete the drone customizing system - W30

 Project closed - W45 Scope Exclusions:  Use of the flying drones on harsh weather.  Use the flying drones for other purposes than prescription and drugstore products delivery.  Drones’ performance due to final weight including delivery order.  Extra batteries for the drones.
