Learning Journal - Part 2 How to Journal During each lecture or tutorial, students will be participating in interpersonal dynamics activities and discussing/reflecting on the content and learning points. Take the journal/booklet to all your lectures and your tutorials and make notes about the activities and the class discussions/reflections. You may make jotting in a separate notebook, but your final reflections and introspections should be written in the Journal for submission. Included in the journal are the activities and a set of questions relevant to each activity. Class Discussion: Managing Debilitative Emotions

Instruction:

During the discussion, students should recall and share one incident where their emotional reaction could be described as debilitative. Based on the duration and intensity of the emotion, they became ineffective in their communication or action – e.g. due to high anxiety they failed to deliver a speech to an audience even though they had practiced long before the event.
