Difference between a group and a team:

A group is a collection of individuals whose efforts coordinated. Characteristics Can be more in their numbers, Each individual not depending on the others. Each individual assigned his own task without any collective responsibility. Lifespan is longer. Have multiple patterns like formal and informal groups. (Difference Between Group and Team, n.d)

A team is an organized group of individuals that shares a common team purpose. Characteristics Team individual numbers always fewer than the group. Build with skilled and experienced people that collaboratively deal with each other. They have the same end mind and can reach the team's goals as they complete the tasks mutually. (Prachi, M.2019)

Ringelmann Effect: Max Ringelmann was a French agriculture engineering that tried to assess the effort of the people in atrial, that making a person pull a rope and then make this person pull the rope within a group of individuals, his findings was that. Individuals expending less individual effort on a task when working as part of a group than when working alone. ("Ringelmann Effect", 2005). The modern research of the Ringelmann effect withing the groups found the individual effort decreases with the increase of the group size, with two types of individual reactions: 1) The individual believes the work will be successfully accomplished with the presence of the other group members. 2) Individual perception falls in the thinking, the group members do not put their best efforts at the assigned task, as a result, the individual decreases his own effort within the group. Understanding of the Ringelmann effect will guide the organizations to how can choose the groups effectively, as increasing the group size can affect the individual’s motivation by losing the coordination within the group. Sure, there are several variables that can preserve the group efficacy, as the identifiability of the individual effort within the group, group cohesiveness, and task interdependence.
