Chris Yard Mr.Walsh English 2nd Romeo and Juliet Essay William Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet is love story about Romeo and Juliet, falling in love,sorrow, death and tragedy. Romeo goes to a party and falls in love with Juliet. They get married and their two families are feuding. Tybalts kills Romeo’s friend, Mercutio and Romeo kills Tybalt. Romeo is banished and Juliet fakes her death to escape with romeo to mantua. Friar Lawrence gives the letter to John to give to Romeo, but the letter never reaches. Romeo goes to Juliet’s grave thinking she is dead. He kills himself and Juliet wakes up and finds Romeo dead and kills herself because romeo is dead.The extended family carries the most of the blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet. because of Tybalt kills Mercutio and the servants, Abraham, Sampson and Gregory fighting. Also Balthasar in the graveyard in Act V. In the beginning of the play Sampson and gregory want to seek a fight with the Montagues.Sampson wants to fight a Montague. Sampson bites his thumb (which is like the middle finger in today’s society) at him. Sampson says “ I am”. (2) Then he says, “ I am not biting my thumb at you but, I am biting my thumb. (2) Gregory asks, “ Do you want to start a fight, sir” ? (2) Tybalt comes in and to starts to fight and Capulet and Montague are about to fight when the Prince comes out and announces “No more fighting or you shall pay with your life.”(3) If Abraham and Tybalt and the servant haven’t fought, Romeo could have not been banished and leading to his death. The prince might have let romeo stay and forgiven.

In the middle of the book Tybalt kills Mercutio and Romeo takes revenge and kills Tybalt. Benvolio and Mercutio are about to leave when Tybalt asks “Where is romeo”.Tybalt insults Mercutio by calling him one of Romeo’s band. Benvolio says, “ Maybe you should fight somewhere private”.(41) Tybalt insults Mercutio by saying here comes my slave now. Romeo steps in between them and tries to convince them to stop but, Tybalt plunges his sword underneath Romeo’s arms and stabs mercutio. Mercutio says after tybalt runs, “ I am dying”. (41) Mercutio dies and Romeo seeks vengeance and goes and kills Tybalt. If Tybalt walked away and didn’t kill Mercutio. Romeo would have not been banished from Verona and led to his death. Balthasar goes to Romeo and tells him Juliet is dead. Romeo and balthasar go to a druggist and buys poison and goes to her tomb. He tells Balthasar not to bother him or he will scatter his parts around the graveyard. Romeo says” I will tear you limb from limb and scatter your parts all over this churchyard”.(77) Paris is hiding in the graveyard and he sees Romeo and thinks he has come to disturb the dead. Paris wants to take Romeo to the Prince. They swordfight and Romeo kills Paris and digs a grave for him next to Juliet. Romeo drinks the poison and dies. If balthasar went down to check on him and try to persuade him and friar showed up and the plan revealed Romeo and Juliet would live. The servants and extended family are the ones to blame for Romeo’s and Juliet’s death. If that didn't happen they would live. The street fight led up to their death also....
