Description

Geniune Temporary Entrant Statement

I have applied for a course in General English at Southern English College Pty Ltd,Sydney, NSW, and Australia. All the essential details concerning my personal information, course selection, details and highlights, education provider, and student visa conditions are mentioned as below. My Introduction I am Full name of Student, son of Mr.Father name and MrsMother name,a permanent resident of Tinkune, 35 Kathmandu, Nepal. I was born on 2nd of April 1992.My strength is that I am a good learner and hardworking. I completed my SLC(School Leaving Certificate)from Little Angels’ School in 2007 with 70.00%.Then, I passed my higher secondarylevel from Chelsea International Academy (Kathmandu,Nepal) in General Certificate of education Advanced Level in 2009 with GPA 2.63. After school, I started working as anAdministrator in GyanNiketan Higher Secondary School. As an Administrator, I was responsible for

overseeing

all

the administrative

duties at schools from

preschool through post-graduate levels. My responsibility was to keep programs running smoothly and provides leadership on both ordinary days and in times of crisis. I was also responsible for coordinating the recording or collation of information from registration, absences, assessments and examinations.

Why General English? I came to Australia on a Tourist visa in December 2017. I came here to attend my brother’s graduation ceremony. I always felt pretty smart back in overseas and my self-concept shattered after I arrived here in Sydney. I always felt my English is good though I did not get much opportunity to apply that in practice a lot, mainly the speaking English. After I came to Australia, I realized that English in English speaking country is quite different then back in overseas and I find myself unable to communicate clearly in English. My desire to improve my English go off the roof. My advancement of English will be also helpful for the school I am currently working with as I would share my learning to the teachers in school and

can take a leap in its English teaching

strategy. Also, in Sydney I was surprised to meet people from all over the world and everyone looks different, dress different, act different, eat different but they all have the common thread which is their language, English, and they all go along with each other. I then realize the importance of English language and I decided to improve it. English has always been the subject of interest and improving English skill will be helpful for my career and future. People with good English skills have a demand and respect in my country Nepal. I found the General English course is designed to equip students with the skills to communicate successfully in English outside the classroom. This course aims to assist students with developing the necessary skills to become confident users of English in social, study and work situations

Why Australia? Australia is popular all over the world as an international student study destination. It is the high standards in education it provides and the safety and security it offers to international students. Multicultural Australia welcomes people from all corners of the world. Australians are among the most tolerant people in the world accommodative of racial and religious differences. America and Britain are also multicultural but in recent times there is a surge in the number of Americans who are beginning to take multiculturalism as a liability rather than an asset and Brexit shows the similar characteristics of British society too. From this point of view, Australia isbetter option for me as an international student. Similarly, English courses are available back in my home country or our neighbouring country like India or China, however, learning English in a English speaking country like Australia has no comparision of learning English overthere which I realized after I came to Australia. Also, what impresses me about Australia is also the transparency with which education providers in Australia function. A rich wealth of genuine information on the web is available about education providers.

This happens because the Australian government

strictly monitors the education sector to ensure that the quality of education is always maintained and that students don’t become the victims of exploitation and abuse in Australia. Educational Services for Overseas Student (ESOS) Act and TPS (Tuition Protection Service) are examples of laws that safeguard the rights of international students in Australia.

Why Sydney? I have selected Sydney rather than other cities for my studies as it has a great climate. Sydney is a beautiful city and extremely attractive. Southern English College is also situated in level 1, 95 Bathurst Street, Sydney NSW 2000 where it is comfortable to get to the public transport. Furthermore, Sydney is safe, clean, and magnificent and it has a friendly environment. In addition, there are also many clubs and societies which students can choose depending on their field of interest. Sydney is Australia’s largest city, which is also known as cosmopolitan capital of New South Wales. It is also the capital of financial and corporate services. Sydney has a highest standard of living, world-class

shopping

centers,

entertainment

and

sporting

facilities. Sydney is famous for its beaches, temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters with rainfall spread throughout the year, which is almost similar compared to Nepal. Sydney is the home of heterogeneous ethnicity across the world. And, it means I can gain knowledge about diversified cultures of many more international students. The Harbor Bridge and Opera House, two iconic monuments in Australia, are also in Sydney. Whenever I think about Australia, they always come to my mind. It would be great to be in these places.

Why Southern English College Pty Ltd?

After searching the websites of many colleges and universities for English language programs like UTSInsearc, TAFE, Global English Collegeetc. I did some internet research and I concluded that Southern English College is suitable for me to study General English on the basis of the fee structures, location and other various features. Some of the points that convince me that

Southern English

Collegeis better than other colleges as Southern English College have small size classroom which obviously affects the quality of learning and teaching. At present, it has fewer students compared to colleges mentioned above. This gives me the confidence that teachers at Southern English College can provide better individual guidance to students. Southern English College is centrally located so travelling to college will be easier as it can be reached by different means of transportation. Finally, the fee structure is also affordable as compared to other colleges. About my course I am aware that I have to start General English which is a 48 week course with 20 hours per week study period. My course has four levels: pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate and Advanced level. The course is desiged in a way that at the end of the course, I will be able to:  Communicate ideas in English with confidence  Pronounce English words correctly  Write various types of texts using correct spelling and punctuation

 Use level-specific grammar and vocabulary with a degree of accuracy and fluency  Use English in a range of study, work and social situations My Sponsors My educational expenses shall be borne by my father and mother collectively. They have sufficient fund and annual income to support me for my studies. My visa conditions I am well informed about some of the necessary visa conditions that need to be followed as a student visa holder.  I must maintain at least 80% attendance.  I must have Overseas Student Health Cover(OSHC) for the entire visa duration.  I must notify my college about change in address.  I am not allowed to change my course for at least 6 months.  I can't change my Australian Qualification Framework(AQF).  I must have sufficient fund to cover my study expenses during my stay in Australia.  I must submit a Confirmation of Enrollment(COE) for all intended courses. Future Plans I worked in a school as an Administrator back in overseas. Not many people in overseas can communicate with good Enlgish though everyone has already realized that learning English is

important to compete globally. After completion of the course, I will go back overseas and continue working in administration in private schools. However, this time with much higher pay as schools will compete to take me on board as they can market their school better with me as they will have staff working with them who studied(English) in Australia. On top of working in schools, I have a long-term plan of

starting a English Training

Centre to train English teachers in the private schools to enhance the quality of overall English learning experience for the children and to instill a strong foundation of English language in them. In this context, my English ability will be a lifelong asset to my career growth and future opportunities.I believe, with the help of the education and training I acquire from Southern English College in Australia, I will be able to lead a satisfying and rewarding I certify that the information provided above is true and correct. I understand that any incorrect and/or misleading statements made by me may result in my student visa application being refused. Yours Sincerely
