Description

Motivational Letter to apply Student Visa, addressed for German Embassy (Jakarta) Dear Sir/Madam, To whom it may concern My name is Johanna Marsha Sepasthika, aged 21, and I would like to apply for a Student Visa in Germany. I am currently a 6th semester student in Binus International University, Jakarta, majoring in International Accounting and Finance. One of the program from my university is to get a double degree which includes a local bachelor degree and one international degree. From my very first year applying in Binus, Germany was one of the country listed and the option stood up for me and I have developed my interest since. Germany was never unfamiliar for me, I had cousins living there and they are doing absolutely well. In my personal experience, I have gone to Cologne for an immersion program from my university on my first year which was in last December 2016, to visit the university that I am applying now which is Cologne Business School. I did not regret not going because I really fell in love with the university and the country itself. Been living my life in an only 2 seasons country, to experience winter, the cold, the people there, the culture were such an overwhelming experience. The country is very clean, the air to breathe felt clear and to be a commuter walking around is also safe. What stood up for me the most and was the most unforgettable moment in my life was to visit Cologne Cathedral and experience Christmas Market. It was really beautiful and I had so much fun. From my short trip to Cologne back then, I realized that Yes, I will come back to this country and continue my study. My immersion program went well and I could not wait to come back. The university that I am currently going is Cologne Business School (“CBS”), an international school in Cologne that offers business-related major. CBS was already a very famous name amongst the people in my university, many of my seniors went there and they came out well, some may continue to get a Master degree there (or work there) and some may come home with an International degree, which was a plus for many hiring companies. For me, CBS was already a great option to continue my study because it is very international student friendly, all courses taught will be in English, the place looked cozy and nice and the overall atmosphere was telling me that I could have an enjoyable stay, both academically and personally. The lecturers were very smart too and they deliver courses that did not feel like a course since it was taught in a very fun way. I was very excited being a part of that one class and it really motivated me to study well. The major that I will take in CBS is Financial Management. Personally, Finance has been a favorite course ever since I joined university. I really liked how Finance links economic theory with the numbers of Accounting, so from Finance, it is where the decision making lies. It is not merely Economics that give broad picture of so called money, or Accounting which is the language of finance. Financial Management itself, from the said CBS course that I have attended will teach me how to allocate funds to current and fixed assets, simply say, for a company to sustain and not go bankrupt. It really interested me, and Finance overall, is a tool so crisis does not happen. The idea of having that knowledge and later-on be useful and in charge of a company’s Finance team made me interested so I am sure about taking the Financial Management major. To end my letter, I would like to say that I am ready to move on to another chapter of my life, where I will be going abroad, leaving my family behind and continue my study in Germany. I have nothing that I am uncertain about, Germany is already a good option, with CBS as the university I am going and Financial Management as the major I will take. Thus, I feel like I am well prepared mentally and is very ready to study in Germany. Thank you for your attention. Apologize for any wrong sayings and I hope my application is well received.

Regards,

Johanna Marsha Sepasthika Binus University International – Accounting and Finance...
