A value of the Navajo is that they settle their disputes traditionally “by talking it out”. They do this by gathering to hear what the issue is and to come to a solution. This also helps determine the cause of the issue. Question 2: Describe one way in which the Navajo have incorporated their beliefs and values into the societal structure on the reservation since regaining some autonomy in the 1970s. The Navajo use the medicinal field to incorporate their beliefs and values into the societal structure on the reservation. While the healers practice modern medical procedures, they also still practice traditional healing procedures and processes. Question 3: What beliefs and values can be found in your culture? How do these beliefs and values influence your day-to-day life? Some values that can be found in my culture that influence my day-to-day life are passion and hard work. I value these traits because I believe that these are two key traits in creating a life that you love which is something that you have to work for.
