2 Short Response: Primary Source Hunt

Describe your overall experience of locating these primary sources. Was it challenging or straightforward? Did you learn anything interesting along the way? My overall experience with finding the primary sources was neither challenging nor straightforward. It was a matter of taking my time and being as thorough as possible. What I found to be interesting was the vastness of information given to the researcher. Were you able to locate an interview with Tom Evans, a close friend of President Truman's, who interacted with scientists who were trying to reach Truman with their campaign against the use of the atomic bomb? Share your search terms and a link to the primary source. Yes, I had success searching for the interview with Tom Evans. A friend of President Truman. I did my search in the Truman Library archives The search terms that I used to find the article were, Leo Szilard and oral history. What I was able to find was Tom L. Evans Oral History Interview (Fuchs 1963). Were you able to locate a petition against the use of the atomic bomb circulated by Szilard directed toward President Truman? Share your search terms and a link to the primary source. Yes, I found success by searching under the Atomic Heritage Foundation, once there I used the history tab down. For the key documents I chose primary source, Manhattan Project History and petition. Were you able to locate an interview with Lilli Hornig, a scientist who signed Szilard’s petition against the use of the atomic bomb? Share your search terms and a link to the primary source. I was able to find the Lilli Hornig interview by going to Voices of the Manhattan Project, the key phrases again were, petition Szilard. The link is listed below.
