Description

SNHU 107 Module Three: Time Management – What Works for You? Part 1 1. Identify the SNHU resources that will help you most in effectively managing your time.  [(2021). Force.com. https://mysnhu.force.com/mysnhu/s/resources] SNHU offers many helpful methods to aid in the success of students. If you do not know where to turn, the resources provided by SNHU are always there to help. These are the 5 resources that I have found to be most beneficial going forward with my classes. The P.O.W.E.R textbook has revealed numerous means of guidance such as scheduling for your day, giving money tips, and even how to deal between life stressors. For instance, through reading the text I have grasped the ability to balance family, social life, work, and school. I can spend an adequate amount of time with friends and family, do exemplary work at school as well as commendable duties in my field of work. Another attribute of the resource page is a link entitled, “Course Specific Resources”. When followed you are brought to an in-depth data base for all classes A-Z. If you are in a criminal justice class, you can find every individual resource specific to the classes that you are taking. Another link you can follow is the “Pathways to Math Success”. This page of the site explains how the math knowledge you already have will award you with college credits rather than having to spend thousands of dollars on classes you may have already taken. All students should be made aware of this incredible opportunity offered by the school, rather than paying $960 for 3 credits you can take the time to complete a quick 30-question assessment with costs ranging from $30-$35 depending on what type of math you are taking. The possibility is endless on the resource page, and every student should take their time to navigate through this page. 2. Identify the social supports that will help you most in effectively managing your time. (Add bullet points if needed.)  [Local librarian Steve, Debbie Callery, Study Group]  One of my biggest social supports is my favorite librarian, Steve. I spend most of my time at the library working to complete my assignments on time. Any questions I have ranging from finances to academic questions are resolved through this wise superior.  My mother has proven to be one of my most lucrative supports anyone could have. She helps me stay on track with assignments, motivates me to work in extreme diligence, and alleviate the stress of paying for classes, all of which I am so exceptionally grateful towards.  A group of friends from my high school all meet up on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our favorite brunch spot to discuss our classes and work together to prosper in the courses we are enrolled in. Some of my friends excel in math and science whereas others are outstanding in liberal arts. When our forces combine, we are a truly unstoppable group. 3. Identify the motivational factors that will help you persevere through the challenges of time management.  [My degree, money aspirations]  One of my biggest motivational factors is specific to my degree. Once I complete my courses in criminal justice, I will be able to aid humans that are far less fortunate than I am. I have always wanted to benefit the lives of others before myself. Personally, I cannot picture pursuing any other career then one in human advocacy. I want to give those who are scared to put themselves out there a voice to speak freely and flourish in their own lives.  A factor I keep close to my heart is making a better life for myself. I want to be able to provide for my family and me. I strive for the ability to no longer rely on my parents and work towards

making money for my future children’s college funds. Being able to give life to a young child that is already set up for success is something that motivates me to create a better life for myself. It can sound conceding to say you are “motivated by money,” which is partially what propels me to work with such commendable diligence, but also my ability to use that money for legitimate causes which will ease the lives of those who are deprived of a “better life”. Part 2 4. Explain how you will take ownership of your future academic success by managing your time with SNHU resources, social supports, and motivational factors. There are many chances to take ownership of my own academic success. These techniques range from very basic activities to advanced means of organization. One of the biggest things to remember is keeping yourself in line with assignments. Taking your time out to fully create a schedule that works for you and listing all due dates you are expected to meet is one of the many basic factors that will aid in your success as a student. Always remember the social support that you are automatically given to rely on when in doubt. Keeping yourself motivated and remembering why you are pursuing this degree will lead you down the pathway of success. Through the resources provided, social supports, and your personal motivational factors you are guaranteed to succeed in your courses and achieve a degree specific to your desires....
