Course Objectives
All course material is published through a digital platform called WebCom. You’ll watch custom-built videos and take quizzes using your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. For questions regarding this online publication, contact web support (refer to the link at the bottom of each web page).
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Clarify and express personal ideas and opinions pertaining to stress management and emotional health issues (Critical Thinking Assignments). 2. Identify personal perceptions or behaviors that inhibit emotional wellness and work to overcome them (Critical Thinking Assignments). 3. Increase awareness of stressors, your emotional, physical, and behavioral reactions to them, and incorporate coping and relaxation techniques (Self-Reflection & Relaxation Activities). 4. Demonstrate a cognitive understanding of stress theory and concepts, psychosocial and physiological aspects of stress, and methods of coping with stress (Exams).

Course Requirements
Due Dates
Quizzes: Watch videos and take multiple-choice quiz each week. Stress Journals: Complete a variety of assignments (comment on something stated in one of the videos, read a short article and comment on something in the article, complete a self-reflection activity, try out a relaxation technique). ● Exams: You’ll take three exams each consisting of 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions. Grading System
There is a 24-hour Grace Period that is available for the Stress Journals and Exams. The Grace Period begins @11:59:01 PM on the due date and ends at 11:59:00 PM the following day. No points will be deducted for submitting within the Grace Period, and no need to inform me if you’ll be using the Grace Period. Nothing is accepted after the Grace Period. So, use the Grace Period only for unexpected came up that prevented you from submitting by the Due Date.

You may skip one journal without it affecting your grade; If you complete all 15, you’ll receive 10 points extra credit

A = 279–300 B- = 240–248.9 D+ = 201–209.9
A- = 270–278.9 C+ = 231–239.9 D = 189–200.9
B+ = 261–269.9 C = 219–230.9 D- = 180–188.9
B = 249–260.9 C- = 210–218.9 F = 179 and below

WebCom Registration: Read & follow W ebCom Instructions in Course Documents on Bb.

Videos: Log onto WebCom, watch the assigned videos for each chapter, and record the info for the Study Guide as you watch the videos.
Quizzes: After watching the assigned videos for each week, click on the right arrow at the bottom of the page on WebCom and take the quiz.
Stress Journals: On Blackboard, click > S tress Journals & complete the assignments either on a separate document or on the Stress Journal itself. When you’re ready to submit, click >Submissions > Week #___. Copy & paste responses from your document to Bb. Keep the document for your own records. Make sure you click on the link only when you’ve finished all the assignments for that week and are ready to submit. You may access each link only once!
