Main idea 1: Learning difficulties are often influenced by the level of interests a student has when learning. Supporting detail 1: 1. Having interest ensures students to achieve their goal (Hernandez, 2015). 2. (Gardner 2001, from Sheringham 2015) When students or children learn without having interest, they may develop anxiety and lack of interest which will result in mediocre performances. Main idea 2: A students' language proficiency can attribute to their learning difficulties. Supporting detail 2: 1. The knowledge of language a student has can influence their ability in overcoming learning difficulties, (Hernandez, 2015). 2. According to Sheringham (2015), the lack of adequate language skills and knowledge may cause students to struggle in reading or understanding things beyond their language ability. Main idea 3: Time management is also another factor that may cause learning difficulties. Supporting detail 3: 1. Students must manage their time in order to avoid learning difficulties. Conclusion: Interest, language proficiency, and time management help prevent learning difficulties.

Synthesis Essay Learning Difficulties Faced by Students

Throughout the years, we’ve come to realise that not everyone can master learning certain things without facing a few difficulties. Although learning takes time, practice and patience, students may still come across some difficulties in the learning process. There have been a few identified factors that have correlated with difficulties in learning, for students, some of these factors are interest language barriers or proficiency, and their time management. Learning difficulties are often influenced by the level of interest a student has when learning. Hernandez (2015), stated that having interest ensures students to achieve their goal. When students are interested in learning something, it makes it easier and more enjoyable for them to learn about a certain topic and it helps them in accomplishing their main objective or goal in learning. Furthermore, interest is important since it helps prevent students from getting bored or uninterested in learning new things, because when students or children learn without interest, they may develop anxiety and lack of interest which will result in mediocre performance. Besides interest, students’ language proficiency can also attribute to their learning difficulties. When students have limited knowledge on language, it’ll decrease their possibility of adapting to certain situations, and not having the ability to communicate fluently with other people can be unfavourable to the overall achievement of a students’ learning goal. Hernandez (2015) writes that the knowledge of language a student has can influence their ability in overcoming language difficulties. And according to Sheringham (2015), the lack of adequate language skills and knowledge may cause students to struggle in reading or understanding things beyond their language ability. Nevertheless, students with sufficient knowledge and language skills will find no difficulties when reading or learning. The last factor that may cause learning difficulties is time management. When learning, time is always an important factor, and managing your time well will help with the challenges of learning, which is why students must manage their time in order to avoid learning difficulties as said by Hernandez (2015). A good way students could manage their time is by dividing the hours of the day into a few parts such as time for studying and completing work, time for breaks and rests, and time for preparations or classes. By

managing time, students will also have an easier time learning without getting burn out or weary. In Short, the three factors stated, interest, language proficiency, and time management are what every student needs to keep in mind when learning. These factors are what influence students to be able to learn effectively without having any difficulties....
