It is also a subsidiary of Mahindra group. Tech Mahindra Ltd., incorporated in the year 1986, is a Large Cap company operating in IT Software sector. It has nearly 125,236 employees across 90 countries. Anand Mahindra is the Founder, Chairman and CP Gurnani is the CEO and Managing Director of the company. It is headquartered in Pune, India. “Tech Mahindra represents the connected world, offering innovative and customer-centric information technology services and solutions, enabling Enterprises, Associates and the Society to Rise”. Recently, it was recognised as a corporate influencer at World Media Awards 2020. The Organisation has been very active and connected in every digital platform. It aims to create a culture where Associates have the Freedom to Explore Opportunities to Connect, Cocreate and Celebrate. While it have created multiple programs to Connect Associates’ aspirations to achievements, it has also consciously fostered a culture of Co-creation by encouraging doing new things and new ways of doing things and at the same time have made celebrating a way of life at Tech Mahindra by ensuring the seamless blending of life at work and beyond work. Attractive: To some extent there are some attractive benefits provided by the company which really makes the employees to love the organisation. The company used to provide e-learning facilities from associate level to managerial level for upskilling. There were also some certification programmes to benefit for the associates. There used to be a health insurance for every associate along with a complimentary annual health check-up. In order to relieve stress, the firm used to provide sports facilities to utilise after office hours. Which I didn’t make use of it, as my home used to be very far from office. There used to be even sick room facilities for employees who were not well to take rest. One of the best facilities is transport which is provided for every associate at a nominal charges and special care would be taken for female employees and physically handicapped employees. Fight Back Mobile App, Self-defence workshops, GPS enabled cabs, regular transport surveys, training for bus/cab drivers on female safety, etc. are conducted regularly by the organization in line with the special emphasis laid on the safety of our women Associates. The Anti Sexual Harassment policy (Zero tolerance) of the company encourages the associates to report incidences at workplace. The associates can even volunteer in the NGO’s in weekends which would be helpful in indulging with the new people and also helping them. These are the best benefits provided by the organisation. Not attractive (Dark side) There used to be huge politics in the organisation in terms of getting the promotions or opportunities. The salary was not at all competitive. Working hours used to be very hectic. Because we used to work for more than our office hours. Although, we used to be got OT’s (overtime money) which was very less. These are the dark side of the Tech Mahindra as I personally faced while working with them. Accurate The policies implemented were followed accurately by everyone at the workplace. The timely salaries are one of the important factors where every employer looks for. Focus on employees: Tech Mahindra are mainly focussed on Business Process Services (BPS) and Software related processes. Represented as the connected world, offering innovative and customer-centric information technology services and solutions, enabling Enterprises, Associates and the Society to Rise” is the mission of the organisation. Educated, skilled and able women and men are a country’s true strength is their vision statement. I believe they are aligned with their mission statement to some extent....
