Thesis Statement

: Women must wear lipstick because it act as confidence booster, helpful as a sun protection and helpful for hydration.

INTRODUCTION What is lipstick? Lipstick is a makeup item that you need when you want to quickly pull your look together and it is also an important part of a more detailed makeup unit. It makes you look pretty, it makes you feel powerful, and you just seem more together when you have it on. Turns out the benefits of wearing lipstick extend far beyond from just looking nice. According to the writer of Style Caster, lipstick not only appear as a tool for allowing you to look your best, but underneath, they are an important tool that can help you from inside and out (Aly Walansky, 2014).

TRANSITION: (I have already explain about what is lipstick. Now, let’s begin with the first point which is lipstick act as confidence booster.)

BODY:

1. Lipstick act as confidence booster A. One of the best things about lipstick is persons who wear lipstick usually feel more confident and powerful in every situation especially wearing red lipstick. In fact, they are usually perceived by others as being more confident and in control. Wearing lipstick can also lift your spirits even in difficult times.

B. Lipstick makes you feel good about yourselves whenever you go out in public, resulting in better and higher self-esteem which will helps you to do better in your daily tasks or day-by-day work. Thus, wearing lipstick can empower you to create positive energy in your world and attracting people to you in a positive way. C. According to a researcher from Harvard and Boston University, he found out that women felt more confident while wearing makeup which is especially red lipstick (Luke Malone, 2011).

TRANSITION: (I have already tell you about the first point. Now, move to the next point which is lipstick act as sun protection.)

2. Lipstick is a sun protection A. Lips can get sunburned just like the rest of your skin. In fact, they are more vulnerable to the sun's rays because there is no melanin or compound that can protects your lips from the sun. Fortunately, lipsticks oftentimes have an SPF of 15 or higher that will help protecting lips from the harmful UV rays that are greatly reduce the chance of skin cancer. B. However, only matte and non-transparent lipsticks can be effective in this, but glossy and shimmery lipsticks works in totally different way which actually attracting harmful radiation. Therefore, lipstick manufacturers then added sun protection ingredients to their products which helps you to protect your lips from sun, drying, wind, and other harmful. C. According to Cosmopolitan News, many lipsticks have an SPF of 15 or higher that can protect your lips from any awkward sunburn by applying the lipstick on the lips and reapplying when needed (Cosmopolitan News, 2020).

TRANSITION: (After I have tell you about the second point, now let us move to the last point which is lipstick is helpful as hydration.)

3. Lipstick is helpful for hydration A. Another one of the little-known benefits of lipstick is it keeps your lips hydrating in every weather which contain some form of moisturizing additive 2

such as vitamin E and aloe vera. Wearing lipstick can protect your lips from the elements, especially the cold and wind, by forming a protective barrier for your lips. B. If your lips were already in trouble, the right lipstick will also help to repair cracked or dry lips. Next, all you need to do is choose the right lipstick that contains natural oils such as avocado oil, cocoa butter, or coconut oil and other ingredients to deliver the moisturise that you need to keep your lips plumpy. C. According to the Bustle by Miki Hayes, he said that a good moisturizing lipstick is necessary during dry or cold weather because it is the best to suck the moisture out of the lips where can keep your lips moisture all the time (Miki hayes, 2015).

CONCLUSION In conclusion, women need to wear lipstick because it act as confidence booster, helpful as a sun protection and helpful for hydration. It shown that lipstick gives you numerous benefits for your lips and psychological boost. In addition, lipstick can makes your smile appear nice and bright as long as you select the right lipstick according to the situation needed. Consequently, you really need to wear lipstick everytime you go out in order to make sure your lips keep plump and healthy.
