The idea being portrayed is that nothing can stop them from standing for what they believe in and shows the audience that fighting for your passion is important.

The voice over of the son highlights the humor of aussie slang and to see the story of the characters through dale’s perspective. Dale gives us a closer insight of the family and gets us more emotionally invested in the characters.

The accent and slang used is a huge part of the language, culture and identity, as it is extremely common vocabulary and expresses the strong recognition of an accent that is frequently said.
