The Tata Group is almost 150 years old. It currently comprises 96 operating companies, 3 which together employed some 330,000 people and had revenues of US$28.8 billion, the equivalent of about 2.9% of India ‘s GDP. Tata is active in seven major business lines: information systems and communications, engineering, materials, services, energy, consumer products and chemicals. Its 28 publicly listed companies have a combined market capitalisation of US$47.6 billion that is the highest among Indian business houses in the private sector, and a shareholder base of over 2 million. The Group has operations in more than 54 countries and its companies export products and services to 120 nations. Promoted in 1874 by Jamsetji Tata with a single textile mill, the group has always been controlled by the Tatas, a Parsee family of the close-knit Zoroastrian community, and the Tata Trusts. 4 Prior to independence, Tata Group pioneered several firsts in Indian industry, including the first private sector steel mill, the first private sector power utility, the first luxury hotel chain, the first production of ammonium sulphate, and the first international airline. The Tata Group is currently headed by Ratan Tata. Donation History of TATA Group: TATA Group was established more than 152 years ago by Jamsedji Tata. He wants the progress of his country's economy by creating Iron Industry, World class education system, Hydroelectric plant and creating Hotel sectors. By creating this he supports his county to progress. He is the pioneer of this progress planner for his county. Although his roots are from Persia, he always thinks about Indians' progress. He starts donating from the starting of the business. When he starts the business, He looks at the western countries like America and the United Kingdom. He wants to take his county to this level by processing economically like them. His son Sir Dorbaji Tata when he joins the company from the very beginning, he starts donating 10000 rupee every month from his own salary. More than100 years ago the amount of 10000-rupee was worth a lot. Sir Ratan Tata continued what his father started. Not only that, TATA Group has also since that time. Still continuing that donation, after Jamshedji Tata ,every Tata who joins the company carries what his father started with his vision for the society. Present Day History of TATA Group: Ratan Tata took the Tata group to a whole new level of success globally. The TATA Group has now become a well known international brand that operates in different counties in the world. He started as an employee in his company and after gaining experience he took the place of an important position of the company. Most of the billionaire’s businessman, industrialists are known or famous for their luxurious life or for their rich lifestyle that other normal people only can imagine. They have the money that 80% of the total population can’t earn together. So, they are known as super rich people who can buy every luxury and comfort possible with their money. Most of the super rich do this; they spend all of their money for them or their family. They are getting rich day by day and poor are getting poor. Poor people can’t even get basic needs for them by working so hard. On the other hand, we can see Ratan Tata live a very opposite life that most of the billionaires live in the world we see. The lifestyle of Ratan Tata is very simple and his personality is very generous and

overwhelming. He is famous for not his massive business or huge amount of income and billions of dollars earning. He is famous for his simple life, spiritual mindset. Although he can easily become the one of the richest people in the world. that is very unexpected. He is respected by the people all over the world. He has verchus characteristics. TATA Group donated 60% of his profit in different charity and social causes. If he does not do this, he can be the richest person in the world in a very short time. He is not bound to anyone to donate because he is doing business legally and paying taxes to the government. Although he can spend all the money for unbelievable comfort and luxury, he chooses to donate. Because Ratan Tata believe “Business need to go beyond the interest of their companies to the community they serve” “power and wealth are not two of my main stakes” “Apart from values and ethics which I tried to live by, the legacy I would like to leave behind is a very simple one that I have always stood up for what I consider to be the right thing, and I have tried to be as fair and equitable as I could be”. With his thoughts we can see that he has a very strong sense of morality, ethics about right and wrong. Also, a strong sense of responsibility for the people of the society. Impact on The Society: The whole world is facing the danger of covid 19 economically, socially mentally in every way possible. But in the second wave we can see the horror of covid 19 that India faces is like a nightmare for every county. The problem is they lose jobs, no income and they are facing hard to get basic needs. All this massive problem becomes so narrow when people only beg for oxygen just to breathe. The total health sector collapsed for this covid attack. People are dying because of lack of medical equipment and for oxygen. All of a sudden, the people of the county become so hopeless. They are facing economical and mental breakdowns. In this crisis Ratan Tata came forward and donated 500 cr rupee within a few days later TATA Group declared to donate 1000 cr rupee. The total donation is the highest individual donation in the world. All the money will be spent to fight covid situation in India. The doctor will get all the necessary equipment they need and the patient suffering from lack of money, equipment and oxygen also can get some relief from this problem. The problem is so unimaginable for the poor when their loved one dies they don’t have the money to give them a proper farewell. They threw the diabody’s of their loved ones in the river. More than 100 bodies can be seen floating on the ganga river and the number is increasing every day. This one scene tells the whole terrifying situation to all over the world. “we start working for our country if needed I will give what I have it's about our country there is now no option turning back” Where other big company’s incomes become three times high even in this covid situation like Jio, Adanis Group but when the situation gets worse and the crisis starts, they go abroad immediately because they

think about their own safety. But they don’t help the people of their own country and when the support is needed most. Also, they are able to help them in many ways they have the money and power. But they only do business ethics, morality, justice and right and wrong. They lack all the scenes of humanity. So, business doesn't bring any help when the crisis starts in the society. There we can see why we need business ethics and what important part it can play in the society. Ratan Tata knows that business without ethics can’t bring any good to the society. That’s why he works so hard not for him only for society because he sees the big picture that most of us can’t see about our society. He also takes care of their employees and their family. He secures their life by providing a guarantee that if any member is able to work on his company he can join to work the post if it is available. Without this in past Ratan Tata do a lot for the society to betterment the life of common people 

Provide 60000 government school student food in every day in Hyderabad

Harvard university donated 200cr and Cornell University donated 20 million because the poor talented people of his county can get higher education free.

He takes good care of his employee’s health insurance, their Children's education and provides future jobs guarantee. So that they can not worry about their family future which all jobholders worry for.

Also, he donates 1000cr for the cancer peasant in India.

Not only human he thinks about the environment and anile too he donates money to run a shelter home for street anime. All his work changes the lives of so many people in the society who badly need the help. Business with ethics can change the whole world positively and the world will become a very peaceful and happy place for all of us. Ratan Tata is a perfect example for this....
